The funeral for Billy Leroy Lightle, 77, was Friday, Oct. 15, at First Baptist Church in Hennessey and officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. Burial adopted at Calvary Cemetery beneath the route of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Dwelling.
Billy was born in Hennessey on Sept. 9, 1944, to Dwight Leroy and Anna Vaverka Lightle and died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at Nice Plains Medical Heart in Elk Metropolis.
He graduated from Hennessey Excessive Faculty in 1962 and was a heavy gear operator at Lightle Sand and Development for a few years.
Billy was a Kingfisher County commissioner for 12 years and was secretary-treasurer of the Oklahoma County Commissioners Affiliation.
He’s survived by three daughters, Tamara Kersey and husband Tony, Kim Leal and husband Donnie, Brenda Dammann and hus band Dwight; one sister, Barbara Hagar and husband Larry; nephews David Greenback and spouse Becky, Gene Hagar and spouse Kimmy; nieces Terri Woods and husband John and Kellie Knolles and husband Ben; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in demise by his dad and mom.
Memorial donations could also be made in his identify to the City of Hennessey Rodeo Grounds with the funeral house serving as custodian of the fund.
